STAAR Test

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR™) is a series of state-mandated standardized tests used in Texas public primary and secondary schools (grades 3-8) to assess a student's achievements and knowledge learned in the grade level.

Campus Information
Super Saturday

PJH students are invited to attend a series of 4 Super STAAR Saturdays that include hands on and computer activities designed to help students prepare for upcoming STAAR tests.  Super Saturday sessions are from 9:00 a.m.-Noon.  Students who plan to attend need to sign up in the office by the Wednesday before each Super Saturday.  Students who attend will be entered into weekly drawings and into a grand prize drawing and gift certificates.  Students must have their own transportation to Super Saturday, but breakfast, snacks, and transportation home will be provided.  Students should report to the PJH cafeteria by 8:45 a.m.  Click here for dates and more information.

Spring Field Trips

PJH students will have the opportunity to attend spring field trips in May.  In order to attend, students must meet field trip criteria.  Click here to view or print the parent letter and permission form, which also contains field trip information and criteria.  Field trip money and permission forms are due by May 8.
