Paris ISD – there’s an app for that!
Paris Independent School District launches mobile application to reach on-the-go parents
Paris ISD recently announced the launch of its Paris ISD App, an all-in-one information source for parents, students, staff and community members. The app was developed specifically to provide direct access to the district’s most sought after information in the most convenient format—your mobile device.
The app is free and can be downloaded by searching for Paris ISD in Google Play for Android and in the Apple App Store for iPhone.
· Calendar information including the ability to select settings for specific school calendars and district calendar
· Lunch menus
· Staff directory
· PHS Athletics pages
· Secure access to parent online systems for checking grades and lunch balances
· Secure access to staff online systems for AESOP and TEKS for Teachers
Setting Up the App
After installing the app, go to "settings" and turn on the campuses from which you would like to receive notifications, etc. It's that easy!
“Our mobile app will help everyone stay up-to-date on information,” said Superintendent Paul Jones. “It’s another example of our commitment to reach parents through all possible channels, as we know that in order for families to get involved in school activities and functions they must first be informed of them.”
At PJH, we feel that using planners is a tool to help students stay organized and teach responsibility. It also provides a way to communicate between school and home. Planners are available for purchase ($5 each) in the main office. Students are required to have their planners every day, every period, so please get in the habit of asking to see your child's planner.
Paris ISD has partnered with SchoolMessenger Notification System to provide timely communication to parents and staff members. If you have a child attending Paris ISD, you are automatically in the School Messenger database and will receive phone notifications. In order to enhance our ability to accurately deliver information on general interest activities and campus and district emergencies, we kindly request that you create your own contact preference profile.
