Welcome to 7th grade Writinge! I am excited for the new school year, and I can’t wait to get to know your child as s/he develops as both a reader and a writer. But first, here’s a little about me.
I was born and raised in Paris, Texas. I graduated from Honey Grove High School and attended both Paris Junior College and Texas Woman’s University in Denton. Biologically, I have one son, but I have tons of kiddos my heart considers my own in some way or another. I worked in journalism, sales management and a few other fields before deciding the classroom is where I belong. I taught last year in Mount Pleasant ISD as a first-year teacher. I’m excited to be teaching in my hometown, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about what the year holds for us all.
Please never hesitate to contact me if you have any questions/comments regarding your child’s learning. We are all here for one thing—his/her education!
This is my first year at Paris Junior High as well as with PISD, and I couldn’t be more excited. This is my hometown, and I have a passion for writing. It is going to be a great year!
I worked at Mount Pleasant Jr. High last year, and before that, I worked in journalism, sales management and tutored.
Family is the force that drives me. Outside of my classroom family, I also have a fiance, a son and soon-to-be stepdaughter at home, in addition to our kitten and hermit crabs.
