Family is the force that drives me. Outside of my classroom family, I have a little boy that has my heart. We have a couple lizards and a bearded dragon.

Personal Information:

Welcome to 7th grade Writing and/or Reading! I am excited for the new school year despite the challenges we are all facing, and I can’t wait to get to know your child as s/he develops as both a reader and a writer. But first, here’s a little about me.

I was born and raised in Paris, Texas. I graduated from Honey Grove High School and attended both Paris Junior College and Texas Woman’s University in Denton. Biologically, I have one son, but I have tons of kiddos my heart considers my own in some way or another. I worked in journalism, sales management and a few other fields before deciding the classroom is where I belong. I taught my first year in Mount Pleasant ISD but have been at Paris Jr. High for seven years now. I’m excited to be teaching in my hometown, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about what the year holds for us all.

Please never hesitate to contact me if you have any questions/comments regarding your child’s learning. We are all here for one thing—his/her education!
