Texting, Social Media, Internet Use
Oftentimes, problems arise between students due to texting, social media, and internet use. You, as a parent, can help with this. Please remind your child that posting obscene or threatening messages, damaging pictures, and hateful comments about other students can be harmful to them. Please explain to them that when they give out information using these public outlets, they lose control over how the information is given out and perceived.
While the counselors are here to help your child socially and emotionally, our focus is always to help your child succeed in school. School counseling is not meant to be long term or intense therapy. Sometimes, students and families need more support. Below are a few referrals for outside counseling support:
